VCMRF contributed funds to assist VCMC’s purchase of a Philips Ingenuity 128 slice CT scanner. Key advantages of the scanner include: shorter scan times, highest image detail available, 650 lbs. table capacity, all with a significant reduction in radiation dose, which is particularly beneficial for our pediatric patients. All features combined mean faster service and less waiting time for patients.
Portable Vital Signs machine: provides nursing staff with the ability to obtain blood pressure, pulse, respiration and temperature with greater accuracy and mobility
Geri Chair/Clinical Recliner: hundreds of older patients, patients with disabilities from long-term illnesses, post-medical procedures and/or chemotherapy receive increased comfort and independence from this special chair; many are able to feed themselves, sit up, read, write and perform other essential components to patient care and quality of life.
Portable Quiksign Monitor: allows for speed, accuracy and mobility to quickly collect the vital signs of hundreds of patients
EKG Machine: a timely and accurate heart-rhythm monitoring machine

Shower Chair with commode: this special chair is for large patients in need of hygienic care

Hematology Analyzer: purchased in posthumous honor of VCMRF board member James Loebl. It is used to analyze the blood of over 49,000 patients per year.
Polarizing Microscope: provides a tool for medical residents to diagnose blood and pathology specimens
Pathology/Slider Stainer: one of the best, most reliable and safe automated slide strainers

Portable Dinamap: this portable vital sign taking machine takes blood pressure, pulse, body temperature
Trauma Stretcher & Mattress Pads: provides new mattress pads and an urgently needed trauma stretcher

Dynatron 900 Combo Ultrasound and Electrical Stimulation: this machine provides a combination of ultrasound and electrical stimulation aiding in the healing process of patients receiving physical therapy
Lift Walker: patients suffering from spinal cord injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, strokes and other balance/sensory problems benefit from this equipment that safely facilitates their therapy and helps them to walk again
Pulse Oximeter: this special “finger-tip” device measures a patient’s heart-rate and the amount of oxygen in the blood stream during physical therapy

Quiksign Monitor and stand: Collects the vital signs of hundreds of uninsured and underinsured patients in Ventura County

“Bovie “ electrical surgical unit: this equipment is used to make surgical cuts and cauterize wounds during operations and medical procedures.
Pneumatic Tourniquet: this special tourniquet is used to help administer the local anesthesia for hand/extremity surgery or for ankle/foot surgery
