Donations to VCMRF have helped many important cancer programs and services in our county. We are most proud of the Premier Mobile Mammography Unit. Integral to these on-site screenings is an educational video Cancer Detection Program, Every Women Counts, which provides language-appropriate community education and referrals to help encourage women to obtain their annual clinical examinations and mammogram at low or no cost, depending on their circumstances.
In many cases a primary care clinician is on-board to provide clinical exams so the client can receive both services in one convenient appointment, which usually takes less than an hour. The patients are delighted with these mobile services, and having been established as patients throught the mobile unit, can then do all follow-up at the clinic closest to their neighborhood.

InnCourage informs, educates, and empowers women dealing with breast cancer to heal their minds and hearts in order to improve their bodies. It is a time for self-reflection, friendship and healing, a time to find one's self again through the courage of others traveling the same journey. Testimonials claim that although the healing retreat is three days, it has transformed their lives.
